History The Rousseau Vineyards in Nice and northern California are one of the most profitable vineyards in the world, the Rousseau family being well known for their grapes, as well as their selection of wines, Jean Claude was in charge of the North American operation while his brother Clark was still in France looking over their interests in Europe. Jean Claude moved to the United States with his wife, electing to live in San Francisco, which was about an hour away from where the vineyards lay. They enjoyed the city life a lot more than the rural, so they lived in San Francisco for years, even after the birth of their lone child, a son that they named Anton after Jean Claude's great-grandfather who was the founder of the original vineyards in France. When Anton was two the Rousseau family finished completion on a home just outside the city, Margaret realizing that perhaps a penthouse was not the greatest place to try and raise a family, so they left the city that they called home for so many years and moved into a home that some would consider too large for a family of three, but it fit the family just fine. As Anton got older he was showered with love and affection from his family, and his parents made sure the small boy did not want for anything, but as the business expanded it was getting to the point where a lot of Jean Claude and Margaret's focus was on the winery and the vineyards, which they decided that perhaps getting a nanny would be best for Anton, at least for a little while until they could find some balance, but unfortunately that balance never really seemed to return.
When it was time for Anton to go off to school, it wasn't a surprise to anyone who knew the Rousseau family that Anton would go off to boarding school, where he would spend every year, learning everything, but having no real guidance. Because of the money the Rousseau family had given to his school Anton felt he was untouchable, able to do anything and get away with it, and probably the worse thing for him happened, the teachers, administrators, the authority of the school allowed it to happen and Anton's arrogance started at a very young age. Even amongst the older students Anton was considered to be the king of his school, he walked with a swagger that wasn't really befitting of a ten year old, and it only got worse as he got older. His academic marks were always high, Anton was a very intelligent and calculating individual, he was able to assess a situation and know exactly what to do to make sure that the ending benefited his wants and needs. He manipulated his teachers and his classmates, and none were the wiser, and it was these lessons more so than the actual classes that he attended, that Anton learned exactly how he was going to get to the top of the world. When he graduated from his boarding school he was accepted to several colleges, including Stanford, where his parents wanted him to go, and Harvard where he wound up going. He wanted to get away from the west coast and see what else the country had to offer, so he traveled to Boston to explore his college years.
College, and eventually law school, passed on with much the same way his boarding school days went, he had very little challenge in what he did, and when he graduated he decided to stay on the east coast, taking a job in a law firm rather than heading back to San Francisco to learn the family business. As the years passed on and his friends from boarding school and college started to get married and start families, Anton never felt that pull, he was enjoying his life now that was moving up in the firm and was eventually offered a partnership, the youngest partner they had. Eventually when he was holding enough sway in the firm he decided to set up a private office in Myrtle Beach, preferring to spend his winters somewhere warmer rather than in New York. Eventually law was becoming boring to Anton, over the last two years he started to buy properties in New York and setting up his own bars. While he was mostly the financial backing behind these ventures, he still came in frequently to make sure the running of the business was successful, and much to his pleasure, they were quite lucrative.
Now that winter has descended on the United States, Anton has moved back down to Myrtle Beach to spend the winter in warmer climates, rather than the cold of New York.
